Greenwich Guitar School Classical Guitar lessons for children and adults

 

 

Our fantastic guitar tutors are highly qualified and hugely experienced experts, at the forefront of the UK's guitar tuition and performance circles.  

Students learn solid technical skills and creative ways to express music through carefully chosen repertoire which suites the student's needs.

Some of the teaching Methods used include: Suzuki, Tarrega, Carlevaro,Pujol etc.

Coaching also offered for all ABRSM/TRINITY grades 1-8. Diploma level coaching also available.

Guitar lessons are given at our teaching studios in Greenwich (next to Maze Hill station) and all of our tutors are fully CRB/DBS checked.

Regular recitals are held each academic year for students to perform their favourite repertoire.

Individual lessons normally last for 30mins, 45mins or 1 hour depending on the level and age.

All of our tutors will give precise weekly instructions on how to practise each piece or technical exercise in the most efficient manner. Complete explanations are always offered of technical difficulties encountered and how to solve them through effective practise.

Graham Anthony Devine

Graham Anthony Devine is our Director of the Greenwich Guitar School. Graham is  widely considered as one of the very best guitarists of his generation in the world and he has over twenty-five years of teaching experience.Graham regularly performs at some of the world's most important recital venues including the Wigmore Hall, London, Purcell Room, London,Palau de Musica, Valencia, Hakuju Hall, Tokyo etc. and frequently gives masterclasses in musical institutes in many countries.

Graham is also Head of Guitar Studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and is the Artistic Director of the Royal Greenwich Guitar Festival.

Stefan Melovski

Stefan Melovski studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and gained a BMus (Hons) as well as a PGDip in performance. Stefan is a very experienced tutor teaching both classical guitar and jazz guitar to an extremely high standard.

Stefan has performed in various venues around the UK, including King’s Place, Queen’s House, Cheltenham Town Hall, Bolivar hall, and St. James Piccadilly to name a few. in 2015, Stefan collaborated with the outstanding Carducci Quartet for the Royal Greenwich String Quartet Festival.
